Waterview Recreation Center
The Office of Watersheds is working with the Philadelphia Department of Recreation (PDR) and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) to incorporate stormwater management into Waterview Recreation Center’s master plan in ways that can demonstrate effective stormwater management strategies while enhancing recreation programs and improving site aesthetics. A subsurface infiltration tree trench and new porous concrete sidewalk manage street and sidewalk runoff and provide more tree canopy. Flow through planter boxes adjacent to the main building entrance manage roof runoff and beautify the entrance.
