Green Infrastructure Projects

Businesses can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability while reducing their stormwater bills by developing on-site stormwater management projects.

Businesses seeking to achieve stormwater credits should first consult a representative. Please call 215-685-6070 or email us at pwd.stormwatercredits@phila.gov. The following projects are recommended for business owners to reduce stormwater runoff.

Incentives for Businesses

  • Businesses can earn a rebate of 25% of green roof costs up to $100,000 through the Green Roof Tax Credit.
  • Businesses can reduce their stormwater fees by implementing green infrastructure projects. More information is available through the Green Guide For Property Management.
  • The Stormwater Management Incentives Program offers incentives and assistance to non-residential PWD customers. The SMIP grant will provide financial assistant to non-residential property owners who desire to build green stormwater infrastructure to manage private property runoff.
