Green Infrastructure Projects

Businesses can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability while reducing their stormwater bills by developing on-site stormwater management projects.

Businesses seeking to achieve stormwater credits should first consult a representative. Please call 215-685-6070 or email us at pwd.stormwatercredits@phila.gov. The following projects are recommended for business owners to reduce stormwater runoff.

Green Roofs	Porous Pavement	Rain Gardens	Rain Barrels	Trees
Stream Buffer	Container Garden	Depave Your Yard	Downspout Planter	Dry Well

Incentives for Businesses

Businesses can earn a rebate of 25% of green roof costs up to $100,000 through the Green Roof Tax Credit.
Businesses can reduce their stormwater fees by implementing green infrastructure projects. More information is available through the Green Guide For Property Management.
The Stormwater Management Incentives Program offers incentives and assistance to non-residential PWD customers. The SMIP grant will provide financial assistant to non-residential property owners who desire to build green stormwater infrastructure to manage private property runoff.
